Laser Hair Removal Treatments
The Alexandrite laser is a recommended laser hair reduction treatment for fair and light brown skin types.
The Nd: Yag long pulse laser can be safely used on all skin types. It is highly effective on dark or tanned skin with darker hair, but is of limited use on light or fine hair.
The diode laser works well on coarse, dark hair and is a good choice for underarm or bikini hair.

Yes. By using the correct laser, namely Alexandrite or Nd: Yag laser, the “root” of the problem will be targeted, preventing further ingrown hairs that can lead to skin darkening and scarring.
As the laser is designed to target melanin, hair must be dark to achieve best results. Light and grey hair will not respond to laser, but can be treated with electrolysis.

After assessing your skin and hair, the laser operator will do a patch test with the correct laser, to determine the most effective setting to target your hair and spare your surrounding skin. Enhance is able to treat all skin types thanks to Alexandrite and ND:Yag lasers.
A course of four to eight treatments is needed to achieve permanent hair reduction. Your hair grows in three cycles and a laser is only able to target hair in one cycle, namely the anagen phase. With each treatment, you hair growth will become less.
Most importantly, sun exposure should be avoided. As with any laser treatment, the skin is more sensitive to light. Your skin will feel warm and sensitive, thanks to the heat produced by the laser. Apply soothing cream or gel regularly throughout the day. Avoid using any body scrubs/ exfoliators for two weeks post procedure.
